A beachfront wedding venue and banquet hall in Padubidri — a sea-facing lawn for four hundred, an indoor hall for a hundred and eighty, a boardroom for thirty, both kitchens catering, and six suites for the party. One event at a time.
There is nothing else on this stretch of Padubidri Beach Road, which is the whole argument for holding an event here. No neighbouring function hall running a competing sound system, no highway noise, no shared car park, no second party on the other side of a partition wall.
We host one event at a time. When you take the house you take all of it — both kitchens, the lawn, the hall, the boardroom, the verandah and all six suites — for the day or for three days.
Everything is catered by the two kitchens that already run here. There is no compulsory outside caterer, no kitchen-hire charge, and no corkage games.

All three spaces can run at once for a multi-function wedding — mehendi in the Chart Room, ceremony on the lawn, reception in the hall — or singly for a lunch, an offsite or a birthday.
We take one event at a time. The house is yours for the day — there is no second party behind the wall.— SeaSwara House
Beach weddings and receptions are the largest share, and the coastal Karnataka wedding calendar — with its long multi-function structure — suits a property you can take exclusively for two or three days rather than book by the hour.
Beyond weddings: engagement functions and roce ceremonies, reception dinners, milestone birthdays and anniversaries, naming ceremonies, corporate offsites and board meetings in the Chart Room, product shoots, small conferences, and the occasional long private lunch that simply needs a sea view and no other tables.
What we do not host: anything with amplified music past eleven at night. The house is residential, the beach is a protected shore, and our neighbours have been here longer than we have.
Kadal cooks the coastal Mangalorean and wider Indian repertoire — vegetarian, non-vegetarian and a full seafood board built around whatever the morning boats brought in. Lan Hua adds Sichuan and Cantonese for a counter dinner or a live station.
Menus are built with you rather than handed to you, and there is a tasting session before you commit to anything. Jain, vegan, halal and no-onion-no-garlic menus are ordinary requests here, not favours.
Every event is quoted individually — a hundred-guest lunch and a three-day wedding share almost nothing — but we will give you a written quote with the per-plate rate, the space hire and the staffing on it, so you can compare us honestly against anyone else.

Six suites sleep about fourteen comfortably — enough for the couple, both sets of parents and the immediate family. The Salon, our two-bedroom sea-facing residence with its own dining room, is the usual bridal suite.
For a longer guest list, Padubidri, Kaup and Udupi have plenty of rooms within twenty minutes; we hold a block and arrange shuttles rather than leave you to co-ordinate it. Parking is free and on site, and the lane takes a bus.

Sitting roughly halfway between Udupi and Mangaluru on NH-66 is the practical argument for holding an event here: guests from either city drive about the same distance, and nobody has to cross a city centre to do it.
The Casuarina Hall seats 180 for dinner, holds 250 floating, and takes 120 theatre-style for a conference. The Rampani Lawn outside is the larger space at 400 standing or 300 seated. Running both together is how most receptions are configured.
Yes — the Rampani Lawn opens directly onto Padubidri Beach with the Arabian Sea behind the mandap, and sunset ceremonies are what it was made for. We host one event at a time, so the property is yours for the day.
Catering is in-house from our two kitchens — that is how we hold the standard, and there is no separate kitchen-hire charge. Decorators, florists, photographers, musicians and priests are entirely your choice; we work with whoever you bring, and will recommend people locally if you would rather we did.
The Chart Room takes 30 boardroom-style or 45 theatre-style with a projector, screen, whiteboard and fast WiFi, and the Casuarina Hall scales that to 120 theatre. Full-day rates include two tea breaks and a working lunch, and the six suites make a residential offsite straightforward.
About 35 minutes from Udupi and Manipal, 40 minutes from Mangaluru International Airport and roughly 70 minutes from Mangaluru city centre. We sit almost exactly halfway between the two on NH-66, which is why guest lists drawn from both cities work well here.
The Casuarina Hall is the answer, and it is why it exists. Any lawn function can move indoors at short notice, and in monsoon season we plan both layouts from the start rather than hope. Weddings between October and March very rarely need it.
Six suites sleep about fourteen — usually the couple, both sets of parents and the immediate family, with The Salon as the bridal suite. For a longer list we hold room blocks in Padubidri, Kaup and Udupi and arrange shuttles.
